Südmetall is a leading company in the development, production and distribution of high-quality fittings for doors and windows, access control solutions as well as semi-finished and finished parts in metal construction. Our products, made of stainless steel, brass, aluminum and wrought iron, stand for quality, functionality and outstanding design.
Süd-Metall Beschläge GmbH, a family business based in Ainring, Germany, near the Austrian border, was founded almost 30 years ago by Jakob Persterer. Since then, we have been a reliable partner for trade and commerce and are now one of the market leaders in German-speaking countries.
As part of the Almar Südmetall Group, we constantly strive for the highest quality and innovation in the areas of fittings, metal and glass construction and locking systems. Our in-house basic research has successfully advanced the development of the antibacterial and antimicrobial surface coating ABACO – further proof of our innovative strength.
Süd-Metall Beschläge GmbH, including the Almar S.p.a production facility, is certified in accordance with DIN-EN-ISO 9001 and DIN-EN-ISO 50001 and is committed to competence, reliability and fairness in its day-to-day business.

The tradition of our Italian production branch even goes back to 1965, and the second generation is already in charge of the company’s fortunes today. Training at Südmetall offers comprehensive insights into all business areas, and almost all trainees who complete their training remain with the company. Payment is made in accordance with the general collective agreement for employees in Bavarian wholesale and foreign trade companies of the LGAD (Landesverband Groß- und Außenhandel, Vertrieb und Dienstleistungen Bayern).
